Tis the Season

"Tis the season to be Jolly Falalalala Lalalala!" I absolutely love Christmas with all the decorations, ginger breads, gifts, wreaths and of course Santa and the Reindeer. I love how red wins a monopoly on this festive occasion and continues even in the fashion industry. But this time, its not red alone,  there is something new and exciting in the market.

The Cape is one chic piece that can do wonders to the simplest of outfits. Transforming casual looks into an altogether formal attire, it is this season's best cover up. This wardrobe pick is perfect for layering in winters. From Boho style, to Joseph capes, fringes to checks, net to heavily embroidered capes, you can choose over a wide array.

For the office, a chic black cropped version will add instant points to your basic white shirt and navy blue trousers. And for a slightly casual look a printed cape worn over a tee, with denims and trainers can look effortlessly cool.

My favorite is this black net cape with intricate self embroidery. And what best to team it with on the occasion of Christmas then a red dress. A classic combination of black and red is adored by all of us. This black cape was my pick because of its unique sleek look to the whole attire. It maintains a feminine and delicate look with the help of the sheer net with embroidery on the sleeves. Sometimes it is good to pay attention to slight detailing. Keeping in mind the tinge of gold on my heels I have worn a pair of dull gold earrings.

I personally love the cape fashion trend as they add the ultimate factor to any outfit. You can add one to a plain color or experiment with prints. With a last post for this year, ELT wishes all you guys a very Happy New Year! 2015 was great. Thank you for all your love and support. Looking forward to a fashionable 2016!
