Diwali 2016

Dress: Manisha Solanki | Clutch: Anaya by Akruthi | Shoes: ALDO |  Neckpiece: Colaba Causeway

Indo western attire is the latest trend in Indian fashion industry. These outfits add a modern touch to your traditional Indian wear and make them trendy, elegant or sexy depending up on how you like to carry them. What I love about Indo western is the chic look they add to your outfit. They make you feel confident and comfortable in your skin. You can also mix and match and create multiple looks depending on the occasions you choose to wear them.

In this post I’m wearing a flowy outfit by Manisha Solanki. The contrasting blue highlighter on this ash grey dress stands out adding an oomph factor to the ensemble. The entire dress is then continued till the bottom with a printed fabric. The colourful abstract print below enhances the entire attire completing the look. The bottom appears as a wide legged palazzo or skirt but is actually an extension of the dress saving you from the worry of wearing something below.

To add in an additional zinc to this look I carried a bright orange Anaya clutch to compliment my outfit. These clutches are absolutely gorgeous for any occasions and are available in various designs. From floral clutches to hand painted and embroidered bags, their intricate detailing will make them your instant favourite.

I wore this dress for one of the extended Diwali function and can reuse it for some other occasion too (eg: Mehndi, Cocktail etc.) by adding in a work dupatta and some statement jewellery. The beauty of Indo western wear in itself is their versatility and ability to fit in any gathering.

Wishing you all a very happy Diwali! May this festival of lights glow your life with joy and happiness.

Love,
ELT
