Le15 Cafe Review

This particular post among st most of my other food posts has been left half done since months. I have finally decided to try and take some time off my busy work schedule and move my lazy soul, to invest itself in telling you guys about my experience at Pooja Dhingra’s (not so new) eatery.

This picturesque boutique café attracts attention with its tastefully done interiors by popular designer Masaba Gupta. Le15 Café is all about corners decorated with pretty kettle and flower arrangements and big window panes exposing the café to good sunlight, giving some Paris vibes. You can sit here all day reading a book or enjoy a long conversation over a cup of coffee and some exquisite dessert.

Coming to food, we called for the Stuffed Gnocchi (Rs. 370) with a spinach filling, topped with almonds and cheddar. It was made in a perfectly cooked béchamel sauce. This dish instantly won over me with its 10/10 presentation. The recipe has a sweetish taste to it which may not be appreciated by many. Along with the gnocchi we called for the Elderflower-lemon cooler (Rs. 160) to sip on which I found to be quite average. I’d suggest you to rather try their teas/coffees instead of any mocktails.

We then called for the Veggie patty Burger with parmesan cheese sauce and Pickled veggies (Rs. 300). Served in ladi pav, this was again another delicious dish as the pickled veggies added an surprising tang to it. I like how the taste was different from the standard burgers elsewhere.

We finished our dinner with Audrey (Rs. 300). I got tempted into calling for this dessert because of its Belgian Dark Chocolate base. Garnished with grated coconut if you are a coconut lover you’d surely enjoy the coconut milk and honey flavour with a slight crunch of walnuts and dates. Personally, I’d recommend to try their signature dessert item, Lucy, a Chocolate and Salted Caramel tart (Rs. 225)

Other highlights of Le15 Café include their savoury parmesan waffles with tomato jam and poached eggs (Rs. 325), Pesto Chicken (Rs. 400) with Spicy Mashed Potatoes and their crunchy 5 Beans & Seeds Salad (Rs. 275). One cannot ignore the classic French named desserts here too. I absolutely adore their ACraneADay idea which encourages you to do one good deed in your day and bring a smile of someone’s face.
