Fall Collection Preview

I was recently invited for the VERO MODA and ONLY Autumn / Winter Collection Preview, above their Bandra store on the 12th and 13th of June and I'm glad I could make it. This time both the brands, known for their subtle yet appealing style, decided to add a bold, quirky and experimental element to their clothing line. This range showcased different looks and trends, from pastels to metallics, nylon to fur and sporty to party-wear.

The VERO MODA collection divided itself exclusively into the ‘VERO MODA in Blue’ category, that displayed  the many shades of blue, be it light azure or turkish. The collection was also classified into the sections of - Metallics: that added the required shimmer to the outfits, Grids: that presented skirts, shirts and coats in textured, printed, boxed and lined grids of various dimensions, Florals and Pastels: that gave a feminine and elegant touch to various tops and dresses, British look: a selection of burgundy and royal blue blazers and the Shades of Pink.

I personally loved this knee- length, burgundy, leopard print coat and it was my pick for My Vero Moda Style. The fabric and detailing of print in this statement coat would give one a rich, sophisticated and classy look and can be paired with a dress, as well as pants for Autumn / Winter.

Apart from that, I also liked this floral dolman top. This can be paired with pallazos and maxi skirt to give a graceful look or you can go for high waist pants and skirts.

The ONLY collection on the other hand, was more edgy. It comprised of – Baby Doll: a fusion of punk and prettiness, Monochrome, Two-piece: with skirts and also pants for both a formal and sporty look, Blazers: a refreshing selection with exceptional colours and styles used and the all time favourite, Blacks. The uniqueness of this collection was the attention given to various texture formation in each outfit. Every attire spoke about its personal fashion and some even carried a slight rose gold printed text on them.

Other than the always fashionable woollens, my favourite here was this Lapel digital printed Blazer. The use of bold hues in it will add an element of strength to your personality. I paired it with their signature s black formal pants, with sequence lining work on the sides.
