Reminiscent of the outfits of
female figure skaters, the skater dress combines playful hemlines and whimsical
fabrics to create a beautiful silhouette. For a touch of romance in the warm
seasons, pastel colours in beautiful spring prints and an inched waist showing
off your feminine figure, make a pretty statement.
Short sleeves, high hemlines and
low necks combine to create a dress which is surprisingly demure and flattering
on any figure. As an added bonus, the skater dress is worn looser than most
mini dresses and inches in at the waist, highlighting a shapely midsection. The
dress also flares out at the waistline for a young and flirty feel.
This ditsy floral skater dress,
with a low round neck, on both the front and back is an amalgamation of
colours. To add a touch of brightness to this casual attire, I paired it up
with these red coloured wedges. The synthetic straps of this pair are soft
to the skin and feature an attractive pattern to catch everyone’s
attention.
Leaving your hair open is too mainstream, so I tied my hair into delicate side twists. With the spring print and wedges
speaking volumes for my look, I wore the dull gold and off white bracelets with
crystal red bow ring to go with it. Sticking to crystal pieces always helps to
add a different and subtle feel to the outfit, hence my earrings option too
remained the simple and graceful transparent crystal studs. I completed my look
with this plain black leather sling.
This girl next door look can be
carried for a casual date, a movie or some good coffee. One can style simple
skaters with pop up colours with a denim jacket or signature neckpieces and
hand cuffs. Flat gladiators and cute ballets also go well with this dress. You
can opt for floral, lace, aztec printed, striped or textured skater dresses of
your choice.
Stay Stylish!
