When the sun is burning bright, the versatile white can help
you slip into any look: casual, formal or semi-formal. Flaunt outfits that keep you cool, dry and
comfortable, by choosing fabrics that are made up of smooth and absorbent
fibres. I decided to go for light colour material for summers, keeping in mind the beautiful
artwork created through the technique of tie and dye.
Tie-dying became fashionable in the late 1960’s and early
1970’s in the West as part of hippie style. It is a modern version of traditional dying
methods used in many cultures throughout the world. I choose to wear this cotton shirt with the
rich ink batik print. The batik print on it adds a subtle play of depth and
movement. It displays a variation of light and dark tones of the single ink
colour, hence giving it a vibrant feel.
Cotton being summer
friendly, is soft, breathable and allows the heat to escape. It is available in
lots of qualities, colours and blends. The key to keep the essence of the
fabric and colours in mind, is to opt for minimal jewellery. I decided to wear this bronze shade neck piece that goes well with the dark hue of the singlet and rings, keeping my ears and hands free. Stay clear of high
heels and choose strappy flat sandals
instead.
Hey! Like the way you have styled the tie and dye shirt. :)
